Walk, Don’t Run.. unless you want to…

Three cheers to the folks who helped make the Walk to School initiative come to life in the Halton District School Board.  The value of walking to school, and all around the neighbourhood, is something that we at Playbourhood advocate wholeheartedly.  It builds connections to the community, develops awareness and fosters communication.  And, as the advocates of the Active and Safe Routes to School program point out, it also helps with social and learning development for students.  Read the story in the Oakville Beaver or take a look at the Safe Routes to School web site here.
